An end-to-end go-to-market strategy to turn an industrial-grade electric motor into a brand capable of explaining its technology and building trust among bicycle brands and OEMs.
DOGA is an industrial company with more than 60 years of experience in electromechanical systems. With D-GO it takes a step forward: a regenerative direct-drive electric motor designed for urban and cargo bikes. The product offers a clear technical advantage, but it targets a demanding audience — bicycle brands, OEMs, product managers and engineering teams — that makes decisions based on technical, commercial and integration criteria. Stimulo’s brief was to build the motor’s launch strategy: turning a complex technology into a proposition that is easy to grasp, visual and ready to open commercial conversations, including its presentation at Eurobike.

NEEDS
Explaining a complex technology to an industrial buyer that decides on technical grounds.
The challenge was not just launching a product, but explaining the motor to a very specific buyer persona — bicycle brands, OEMs, assemblers and engineering teams — and proving that D-GO is not just another component, but an engineering solution backed by DOGA’s industrial track record. The advantages of direct-drive had to be made tangible: low maintenance, regenerative braking, silent operation, reliability, integration into urban and cargo bikes, and a natural pedalling feel, all with real technical support behind it.
On top of that complexity came a twofold demand: building visibility and authority in the B2B e-bike market, and converting that visibility into commercial trust to open conversations with OEMs, without relying solely on trade shows and meetings. And all of it while respecting a critical boundary: showcasing capabilities without disclosing sensitive information or projects protected by NDA.

PROCESS
An end-to-end engagement connecting product, communication and commercial activation.
Stimulo approached D-GO as an industrial go-to-market, combining strategy, storytelling, B2B marketing, film production, renders, SEO, technical content, social media and AI. The starting point was an in-depth analysis of the product, the European e-bike market, the competition and the B2B buyer personas, in order to organise a set of very strong technical arguments into one clear story: why direct-drive, why regenerative, why low maintenance, why DOGA and why now.
That analysis shaped the brand narrative and value proposition, aligning the regenerative direct-drive technology with DOGA’s core attributes: industrial reliability, European engineering, customisation and support. The guiding idea was not to present a mobility startup, but a solution born from a company with real-world experience in motors and electromechanical systems.
The second pillar was building a visual and audiovisual universe under the principle of show, don’t tell. Technical film shoots at DOGA’s facilities — laboratories, processes, people, product in context — together with renders and video renders to explain complex concepts: a gearless architecture, regenerative braking, in-wheel integration and pedalling feel. All of it under one non-negotiable premise: showing the parent brand’s industrial capability without revealing sensitive geometries, clients, protected projects or internal documentation, resulting in a safe visual library fully compatible with NDAs.

The third pillar was digital activation aimed at OEMs. Not generic content for cyclists, but posts, videos and challenges designed so that a manufacturer understands why D-GO can be a strategic option for its next urban or cargo e-bike. Bringing in AI — including a digital clone — made it possible to turn recurring technical questions into scalable explainer pieces, with a consistent voice and without multiplying production costs. In parallel, an SEO structure was built around the sector’s strategic searches, along with B2B social channels focused on LinkedIn and Google, plus materials for trade shows and the sales team.
The differential value was that Stimulo did not act as a communication agency, but as a partner able to understand the product from the inside: telling direct-drive apart from hub or mid-drive motors, translating regenerative braking into range and reduced wear, or turning torque and sensor customisation into a sales argument, while keeping every message technically rigorous.
VALUE
From a technical product to a market-ready value proposition.
D-GO evolved from a technically differentiated motor into a structured, market-ready value proposition, with its arguments in order — direct-drive, regeneration, low maintenance, easy integration, customisation, silence, natural pedalling and engineering support — and a positioning as a premium, customisable alternative within the European urban and cargo e-bike market.
On that foundation, a visual and audiovisual asset base was created that makes it possible to explain a complex product clearly and attractively without crossing confidentiality lines. Technical film shoots bring something essential in industrial B2B: credibility. For an OEM, choosing a motor is also a risk-management decision, and the content proves that D-GO is not a standalone venture, but is backed by an industrial organisation with real capability and engineering.
The project also delivered an SEO structure designed to surface when the market searches for technical answers, B2B social channels that educate the buyer, and a set of materials that strengthen the sales team: narrative, visuals, renders and explainer content. The outcome is not a campaign, but a go-to-market foundation that lets D-GO educate the market, attract OEMs and communicate its expertise without overexposing sensitive information.
HUMAN FACTOR
A close collaboration between the DOGA, D-GO and Stimulo teams.
The project ran as an ongoing collaboration between DOGA/D-GO’s industrial team and a multidisciplinary Stimulo team spanning product, marketing, creative direction, film, web and AI. That closeness is what made it possible to translate technical knowledge into understandable messages without losing rigour, and to sustain consistent communication throughout the process.
The shared challenge of communicating capabilities without exposing secrets demanded fine-grained judgement: deciding, together, what to show and what to protect. That discipline — showing engineering, not documentation; processes, not confidential information — is what gave the final outcome credibility and consistency.
For Stimulo, the project consolidated its ability to support a complex industrial product from strategy through to commercial activation, combining technical understanding and communication.
