Aiming to revolutionise the water cooling market, Picsa approached Stimulo with new technology and patents that had to be transformed into a product.
Maintenance-free water coolers
Over the last 40 years, the water cooling sector has evolved very little, without ever addressing the serious problem of hygiene. Companies have to bear very high maintenance costs to avoid the risk of poisoning consumers. But Picsa found an alternative to solve this problem: cooling the water inside its own container by means of a cooling plate. As the product is mainly used in kitchens and offices, Stimulo designed a very compact device that fits perfectly in different spaces. By positioning the bottle horizontally, Stimulo reduced the height of the dispenser and made it the lowest on the market. This was a great advantage when it came to selling it to the domestic sector. To visually connect the product with the water sector, we used cool colours and smooth surfaces that also made cleaning easier.
Picsa was delighted to hear that the respondents found the product really interesting. After some fine-tuning, the design received final approval, and Stimulo started working on cost optimisation. Stimulo also designed the packaging and we took care of the product communication. We also issued press releases and designed the catalogues and the stand for different trade fairs such as Alimentaria and London Avex.

An exceptional ventilation system was designed to highlight the power of the device. After finalising the design, we tested it among different users: customers, fan personnel and suppliers.

To accelerate the development phase, Stimulo temporarily moved the engineering department to China, where all technical development of the product was carried out.

“The level of commitment and willingness shown by Stimulo exceeded our expectations. Stimulo is much more than a supplier, it is our partner”.
