New box Iteration for AIY Voice Kit from Google
This time, with the motto “Innovating in Education to transform the world”, SIMO EDUCATION 2018 brings together the offer of 225 companies and brands from 22 countries, among which are renowned technological companies such as DELL, EPSON, GOOGLE FOR EDUCATION, HP, MICROSOFT, SAMSUNG, SMART and lots of others, plus the companies dedicated to robotics and programming. The Fair, organised by IFEMA in collaboration with the specialised publication Education 3.0 presents an important perspective on the latest technological tools and solutions for educational innovation. they aim to improve learning processes and school management. Stimulo, in collaboration with Andreu Ibañez and his Google Developer Group Spainteam, supports SIMO education principals through Liquid Galazy LAB project. We have presented a first iteration of what will be the new box for the AIY Voice Kit from Google, DIY version of the Google Assistant that we will integrate in the control of the Liquid Galaxy. Both for the general version and the specific version of Education in which we are working. The presentation was held at XENON COMPUTER booth 14 1D13.
The aim of this project is to create a free, 3D printable open source box available to everyone when necessary.
what is Liquid Galaxy project?
The Liquid Galaxy platform utilizes a cluster of computers, controllers, and multiple displays to provide an immersive panoramic experience. Starting as a Google 20% project, the Liquid Galaxy can now be found in over 50 permanent locations globally, as well as numerous conferences and events. The core parts of the Liquid Galaxy are open source: scripts to sync the view across application instances, as well as scripts to adjust the viewing angle of a 3D rendered environment (such as Google Earth).
